3D printed prototypes to try out your design

Want to see how an idea looks or check if a part fits? A prototype gives you something you can hold and try.

Discuss your project

It’s easier to judge a design when you can pick it up. You might want to check a fit, compare shapes or show someone how an idea could work. Tell us what you want to find out, and we’ll help plan a useful first print.

Sometimes a small test piece is enough. Other jobs need a full model. We’ll talk about which details matter, choose a plastic and agree on the work before printing.

How it works

Let’s plan the next step.

  1. Tell us what you want to check

Send your file, sketch or photos. Explain what the prototype should help you find out and what it needs to fit.

  2. Choose the first print

We’ll decide with you whether to print the whole part or start with a smaller section. The quote will cover any design work and sample prints.

  3. Try it and share feedback

Tell us what worked and what didn’t. Photos and measurements help. We’ll discuss any changes and extra prints before the next version.

Before we make it

A few things to think about

The more we know about your part, the more helpful our advice and quote can be.

  • Tell us your deadline. We’ll confirm timing once we’ve looked at the job.
  • A part that fits may still need checks for strength, heat or long-term use.
  • If you’re unsure about a measurement, we can discuss how a sample could help.
  • Keep the different file versions so we know which one you’ve tested.
